We made a run to Trader Joe's this weekend, and I picked up a lot of new goodies to try. I had low expectations for the Tuna in Yellow Curry Sauce, as I heard that the red curry version was much better, but it made for some really tasty onigiri! I just cut the pouch open, microwaved the contents, then used bits of the tuna and potato for the stuffing. I didn't use a lot of the sauce, as it would have made it difficult for the onigiri to stick together. I reserved the leftover sauce for another meal -- maybe curry fried rice? I can't wait to try the Tuna in Red Curry Sauce!
The Soy Vay sauce is very good too -- highly recommended. The only change I would make is to use chicken thigh pieces next time (juicier!). I actually used my wok to make the stir-fry this morning. I've had this thing forever and have never used it. It's a
carbon steel wok from Crate and Barrel, and I went and lost the darn instructions on how to season and care for it. I just made a wild guess and heated it on the stove, wiped it down with oil, etc. It worked with minimal sticking over the weekend, but I accidentally seared some of the sauce to the wok this morning. If I have to scrub it out, I guess I will have to re-season it. If anyone has this wok out there, let me know if you still have the instructions! :P
